Custom environmental art piece I did. The artwork should emphasize on the start of something new, the beginning of an adventure, the sunrise of a new day. I used a lot of blueish colors to make the image feel open and the path we are going to secure, calm, and stable. The brownish colors should emphasize the stability of the ground / the position we are in right now so we feel more likely to take the risk of starting something new. Also, the colors were chosen this way, because they act as complementary colors.
The character design was a rather spontaneous decision, at first, I wanted to draw a more e fantasy-like character but then decided to add more futuristic elements to the character to create a more cohesive narrative gap and encourage the viewer to dive deeper into the image.
