Journey to Castle Elmbridge [Unreal Engine]

Journey to Castle Elmbridge Unrel Engie landscape render

I wanted to learn more about open landscapes, so I created an open fantasy environment.
The initial idea was inspired by the environments of The Witcher 3, but I wanted to make something of my own, so I decided to build the scene completely from my imagination without direct references.

During this project, I learned some new valuable techniques like runtime virtual texturing, material displacement, water simulation, landscaping, and volumetric fog.
The 3D assets are from Quixel Megascans.
The composition, the environment art as well as the lightning and post-processing was done by me in Unreal Engine 5.1. The rendering and video editing were done in Adobe Premiere by me.
