Abandoned Apartment: The Last of Us inspired Unreal render

A new environment art project I’ve been working on for the last few weeks. The whole scene and Idea were inspired by the game “The Last of Us“. I wanted to create an abandoned Apartment with storytelling and gaming elements combined. For example, can the workbench be used to upgrade the equipment of the player but through careful object placement it should also encourage the player to think about what the person the workbench belonged crafted here. Also, the where a lot of small-scale scenes include in the whole environment, each with its own small story to tell. What is with the toys scattered around what is with the crafted teddy bear doll? Were these a present for someone, that could be given, are these a memento for someone that passed? What is with the shrine on the wall, what is the meaning of the statue, and how did the person that last been here live?

If we look close enough and combine the given information our mind can fill in the rest, so we can create our own story of what happened.

The 3D assets used are all from Quixel Megascans. The composition, the environment art as well as the lightning and post-processing was done by me in Unreal Engine 5.1. The rendering and video editing was done in Adobe Premiere.
